Downside: Waitstaff appear to know little about real cowboy history but only know about Iowa born California Hollywood actors who played cowboys. Upside: Friendly waitstaff and amazing Chicken Fried Steak. Their small portion is Texas-sized and coated with tasty gravy. read more.

"We had lunch there. My daughter took chicken stripes which was okay. My fried shrimp was not amazing but the french fries are good. Husband took the Supreme burritos, he said it's good. I know this is a historical restaurant, the 2nd oldest in Texas, butfor me nothing was extraordinary. The cowgirl's toilet was quite dirty and the only friendly person was our server."
