"In the did most options are not vegan. the options are somewhat limited, but the coffee is good and if you want a bit of cake, snack or light lunch, it is an ideal place for the owner. very friendly and helpful."

"Lovingly arranged walks of the highest creative and unexpected aromen with the ingredients of regional producers, e.g. morcheln, served by our mushroom-collecting julia, explains and takes care of us and the other 10 guests with a clear and warm welcome every surprise course is described by it in detail. Unfortunately I did not recommend her with the 5 course menue too modest, otherwise I decided greedy the 7 course menue. my only point of criticism when they call it so, I was too tired. a 100% recommended!"

"I highly recommend this place out of many reasons, the drive up to the restaurant is amazing with stunning views over the Tegernsee plus the Freihaus is an authentic Bavarian restaurant and very beautiful. The food was very tasty and the server was able to...communicate in English, they had English menus available as well. I have been to the Freihaus many times for lunch and dinner and this time was the first time I took my wife and she was very impressed. Food and service was always exceptional. The roasted potatoes, the classic Bavarian dishes including the dessert were super delicious...we will be back for sure!"

"The “fischteller” (fish and seafood platter) was a thing of beauty. It’s actually really hard to time it right so that grilled squid, tuna, salmon and shrimp all land on your table at the same time, but the chef nailed it. Beautiful cooking."
