Captain George - Aurora

$6.75 for fish & chip lunch with coleslaw. Fast and efficient service. Good location. Nice little sit down dining room. Would recommend.

We ordered the halibut fish and chips and the haddock fish and chips; both were really good. Batter was tasty but not greasy. We couldn't really tell the difference in taste between the haddock and halibut. The fries were really good; not greasy or heavy either. Would got there again! Overall very tasty meal at a decent price.

When we entered Captain George's to try their All You Can Eat lunch, we were enthusiastically greeted by the owner, who took our order quickly and sat us down.It's a fish and chips restaurant, so it's as you'd expect nautical decorations, bright colours and lots of lighting. While the seating was hardly luxurious, the fish and chips were top notch. The only thing keeping us from coming more regularly is it's proximity to one of the worst intersections in York Region... Yonge St. and Aurora Road.With the traffic lights and turning issues to the Go-Train traffic, getting to Captain George's can sometimes be a pain. And that's too bad, as their fish is great.

Lovely people running this place. They have the very best hand cut chips in town. I treat myself to the shrimp and chips plate once in a while. Clean and very fair prices.
