We love coming here. It's such a home feeling and lively place. Great for large groups. We ordered the branzino with the Briam veggies as a side. We also got grilled calamari. This was a fresh and tasty meal, without meat too. Their meats are also great but this is the spot for getting fresh and healthy tasting seafood meal for a very reasonable price.

I had a great experience here. There is no shortage of Greek food in this neighborhood but I think this is a great option. We ordered the spicy whipped feta spread, baby lamb in tomato sauce, gigantes, and lemon potatoes. The lamb was extremely tender. You can eat it with a spoon. It wasn't gamey and the tomato sauce wasn't overpowering. The beans were extremely creamy and well seasoned and the lemon potatoes were also delicious. My favorite item was the spicy whipped feta spread with pita. The pita was amazing, it came out warm and it had a nice charred flavor to it. The feta spread was creamy with some chunks of feta, and the spiciness was that of a fresh chili. An amazing meal, I would like to return as many of the menu item sounded intriguing to me. The service was warm and attentive and the prices were very reasonable. This amount of food fed two people well.

We came here last night for my moms birthday and let's just say at first it was not favorable. There was a heat advisory so unfortunately the original table they put us was closest to the kitchen and direct access to the front door there was absolutely no air coming through the 8 of us were so hot so they moved us immediately to another table that had a vent directly on top of us and it was great , our server George was wondering and nice and funny . The food was absolutely delicious. We got for starters calamari, octopus, fried sardines, Greek salads, fried Greek cheese , Greek beef patties and fries for the Kids , baby lamb chops with lemon potato's and rice pilaf. The food was endless , huge portions and more than enough for everyone. For dessert we brought a cake but they did give us Greek Halva which was delicious and some got coffee . It was all a really good experience. The worse part is , being in Astoria parking is a nightmare but fortunately right around the corner there is municipal parking so that worked out. Anyways I would definitely recommend This place is your in the mood for some good Greek food!

Of course Astoria is known for its Greek food, and Bahari Estiatorio is certainly on the top of that roster. When you sit down you get a bread basket. Then we ordered the spanakopita which was delicious and a whipped feta cheese appetizer which came with fresh pita bread. For an entrée I got the chicken souvlaki. My recommendation for this place is that if you go with a group, everyone picks a different side because they are served family style and you can share them.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night. After eating a ton of heavy meats all day, we were really craving for something lighter. We went inside and were greeted immediately. The inside was a bit small but didn't seem crowded. However there were a lot of people working. We asked to be sat outside and we were the only party out there. Our server was very friendly and kind. He checked in on us often. We decided to order the krya pikilia (assortment of traditional spreads , kalamarakia scharas (grilled squid appetizer , avgolemono (chicken and rice soup , and tourlou (roasted veggies . First there was some complimentary bread. It wasn't anything special, a bit dry. The traditional spreads and soup came out first. The soup was yummy and not too heavy, especially because of the lemon. It was delicious and savory. The traditional spreads was my and my sisters' favorite part of the meal. I would absolutely recommend this! They were all so savory and went well together. This was served with a big plate of thin (pita? bread which was warm and seasoned as well. The spreads were separated by cucumbers which also tasted great dipped in the spreads. I ended up asking for more cucumbers and our lovely server provided us with a gigantic plate of them! Such a refreshing meal. The grilled squid appetizer was yummy also, savory and soft, not too chewy. Very juicy as well, no complaints! The tourlou was my least favorite. There wasn't a ton of seasoning and the veggies were very soft, the texture was a little unpleasant to me. I liked the potatoes but didn't like the rest of it very much, wouldn't get this again. At the end, there was a complimentary dessert. It was a slightly grainy and subtly sweet rectangle. Not sure exactly what it was but it was pretty good! The spreads alone made me give this place 5 stars. I would definitely come back to try other dishes since they have so many things on the menu.
