My husband is a huge BBQ guy and during a stay in Asheville he was eager to visit Buxton. We had a great experience. What a cool building! Loved the history. They were out of the brisket, unfortunately. But we enjoyed everything we had. read more.

We enjoyed our lunch here, but I wouldn't necessarily say we have to make this a regular stop. The good: The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich was pretty good HUGE breast filet, cooked perfectly, but Pimento cheese was not good. The sweet tea was perfectly sweet.
