Contribute Feedback Was Osvaldo Schuppe at Ashwin's Cafe Restaurant a mag?
We decided to eat here because of the reviews here on tripadvisor. Unfortunately on the night we dined there it was very quiet and perhaps this is the reason the chef thought it was OK to have his friends taking up the lounge area by the fire which was unlit and talking loudly. The one staff we saw a young girl was very pleasant and looked after us well. The food though the flavors were good was only warm when served... View all feedback.

After reading the reviews, we were excited for a great experience. However, we found that Butcher's did not quite meet our expectations. Personally, I would only give it 3 stars at most. View all feedback.
We stayed at the All Seasons Motel Armidale and after a long day on the road, decided to eat at the restaurant on site - WOW. Best decision ever. The menu selections were broad and varied. An extensive tapas offering is a great option for those who can't decide on one dish! We had the beef checks and the 3 cheese ravioli. Both were beautiful. Excellent serving size and the presentation was more like a piece of art than a dinner on a plate. Prices were very reasonable and service was good. Do yourself a favour and dine here. Armidale locals - it's a must visit!
We tried to book but had no answer on one of the phone numbers listed and the other was out of order. Luckily they could get us in, but there was a big table so we had to order before them. The food was good, I loved my lamb meal, my husband's gnocchi was OK - good, not great. My daughter had the bruschetta. The service was great. It is an in-house restaurant at a motel, but there is a wonderful bar area and the restaurant had a fireplace with a lounge.
Ashwin's was attached to our Motel and we had a parents dinner for a Rugby tour 51 people in all! Everyone said the food was tasty and hot nothing was a trouble for the staff and the owner a testament to living in a nice place with no traffic!
New owners ... The fabulous food of a couple of months ago is no longer available. What a shame. Portions are minuscule and disappointing.
This in-house restaurant was chosen for a family dinner because of the very good reports we had been given. Ashwins certainly lived up to the reports. An excellent menu and friendly staff made this a great night. A thoroughly recommended restaurant.
