Stopped for Saturday morning coffee while on a motorcycle tour. We ended up having their breakfast and way too much pastry. The breakfast was very tasty and the pastry absolutely the best quality. The menu was extensive and very German. The variety of pastry would put a big city bakery to shame. We stopped by for lunch on Natal Day after a activity packed morning. We were not sure if they would serve food that everyone in our party would enjoy but we took the chance. The lobster rolls were very good except that the ladies found the German bread too hard to eat easily. The fish burger was excellent especially with the German roll that it was set ed on. A friend bought me a cinnamon bun from here a few weeks ago. Awesome! And so when I was in Annapolis Royal again, we went to the Bakery for lunch, on the patio. I had the Vegetable Bun, which was excellent. A good crusty roll with soft centre, plus generous cheese and veggies. Too bad the location is up for sale. I hope they're still open next time I'm in the area.
There are a few gluten free bakery items offered pie, cookies, muffins. I had apple pie with a crumble topping and it was delicious.
I had the most wonderful cinnamon roll and Sesame bread to go. The staff was knowledgeable about celiac disease. They typically offer GF muffins, loaves of bread, almond cookies, macaroons, buns, sandwiches to order and cinnamon rolls. During the holiday season, they have apple crumble pie! Highly recommend!
Schöne Überraschung in Nova Scotia eine deutsche Bäckerei mit Backwerk nach deutschen Rezepten zu finden. Neben Brot und Kuchen gibt es Gulasch und Schnitzel. Wir haben Brot und Kuchen gekauft und können es nur empfehlen!
Very good pastries, a lovely spot for afternoon tea. Menu offers a good variety of German cuisine for dinner, including schnitzels. The food was good, a little expensive for cafe style setting.
