Was drummerhill at Lord Amherst a mag?
Had lunch outdoors at the Navy Park across the street, as park of the Town’s weekend closed streets. A busy weekend and the service was very good. Decent pub offerings on the menu with average food. Would try again. View all feedback.

What Barb W dislikes about Lord Amherst:
Myself and 3 friends went for lunch on Tuesday. 2 ordered the Yorkies, 1 ordered 2 for 1 wings and I ordered 2 piece fish and chips. 3 out of 4 of us said our food was overcooked, the wings the fish and the yorkies. The food tasted good, but just overcooked, maybe the Brits like their food like that. The other thing I found awful the the cost of a cup of coffee (with refills $3.10. Went there on a busy night! But I was not pleased, all we ordered were wing and fries! Now how hard is it to screw that up! We got the wings and I bit into two of them and both were still raw on the inside., my husbands weren’t. He had one of mine and yup his was still bleeding! The waitress said “ohh. No the cook takes a temp of all of them and no they’re cooked” I wasn’t going to argue but no., will I ever go back nope!

It took over an hour to get our food. The fish was cold and raw. Could not eat it. The service was terrible. Took forever to get our bill. Asked for a second soda but did not get it. The food has really gone down hill. Will not go back. So much for supporting local.

Love this pub. It appears to be shabby chic. Cozy warm atmosphere and very nice food. Great beer too.
