Stumbled upon O'Connell's quite by accident and it reminded me strongly of a pub I loved in Dublin. The atmosphere was slightly dark and a huge oil portrait of the Daniel O'Connell dominated the room. I had fish and chips while my wife had the bangers and mash. The food was wonderful. Great atmosphere and spot at the bar to watch football. Had a lamb burger with goat cheese. Delicious!

"One of my favorite light-lunchboxes in dc. they have in the ground themselves rice, nudel and or salat bowl with a southeast Asian flair. A.k.a dressings are more fish sauce and acid-based, which is delicious and refreshing, but still tasteful. when I first visited, I think it was one of the owners who worked the front so that there was a little more love in the salat than my new visit, but the employee helped me this time was still very friendly. the chicken salad is always a winner and they can choose how sharp they want it. they also have a series of vegan dressings and various protein options or even a kicherbsen curry when they look different. the star of my visit was this time the buttersemolina cake. this cache was so soft and creamy with a warm fat syrup, and the nuts and light texture of the smolina really works in this cake. an extremely decadent way to finish and otherwise light meal"
