What User dislikes about The Coffee Club:
I go to Coffee Club a lot whenever I am travelling and generally they are good. This was very poor, I had chicken, bacon and avocado on toasted bread and my friend had corn fritters. The bacon was hard and dry and I couldn' t get my knife or my teeth through the toasted bread. The corn fritters were rubbery and cold. The salad leaves were wilted and brown. The coffee was luke warm - we left most of the meal. We were... View all feedback.
The Coffee Club advertises "table service", but we personally didn't notice it. After we sat down at a table, we waited at least 10 minutes to get the menus or to place our drink orders. Nothing. So we got the map ourselves. Then finally came the obligatory water with 2 glasses for 4 people. We were quite hungry and sure what we wanted to order, waited and waited. Finally we had to politely ask another waitress to take our order. Two people in our group ordered the SAME sandwich, for the same price. The only difference was in the way it was prepared. One was toasted, the other baked open in the oven. And now comes the scoop: the toasted sandwich had two slices while the other one only had one. As a reminder, the price was identical. After we wanted an explanation for this, we got a dry slice without a topping. The location at the harbor is quite nice and the breakfast wasn't bad in terms of taste, but all in all, the only thing that comes to mind here is "WTF".
After we had personally ordered the waitress to come to our table after a long wait (unnecessary-a bit of attention would be good) we finally ordered drinks and meals. Among other things, two turkey toasts (both identical in price. One toasted/folded and the other openly grilled and served). The nasty surprise then came when the food (again after a long time - and hey... where were our drinks?) was served. On one plate was a double toast sandwich with side dishes. On the other a single slice of toast (pretty carelessly prepared) with the ordered toppings and the side dishes. So you only get half the toast for the same price without being made aware of it. Absolutely inappropriate. The waitress brought a dry one 15 minutes after she was pointed out this grievance! slice of toast. Just amazing. (Besides, I had already eaten the toast) Zur Coffee Club should definitely indicate this different amount. I just felt screwed. Oh yes... and in case someone is hungry for hashbrowns and orders them as a side for $3. There's a frozen hash brown for that. It is not worth it.

Great location overlooking marina, and underneath the Mantra Boathouse accommodation where we were staying.
Stayed at Mantra Boathouse for a week. Had breakfast at Coffee Club on ground floor on 3 occasions. Each time food was fresh except for corn
