The food, drinks and overall experience here at Anchor bar is absolutely fabulous. My fiancé and I are so happy we discovered this place and we have been coming here everyday on our holiday. The chicken wings and pear, proscitto sweet potato salad have blown us away absolutely delicious!! Thank you to the wait staff and chefs who put so much love into making tasty food. What Ford Brekke dislikes about Anchor Bar:
a young person out there, as the atmosphere is quite loud and alive. Eating is very expensive for what you get, although the quality is very reasonable. If you want a relaxed quiet evening, it is probably not the place to visit. A bit... a warning, as a sufferer of walnut allergies a menu item, the peanuts in it did not indicate that it was walnuts in dessert. This could possibly be very dangerous. Sea views are spec... Our group of 12 met twice here for "sunset drinks" .... lovely views over the beach and water the most ideal spot in Airlie Beach to enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a lovely raspberry and mint cocktail in hand or an ice cold beer.We actually never ate there but the snacks and meals we saw did look good. The staff very relaxed and friendly.
I recently attended a lunch at the Anchor Bar and was impressed by the service and the food provided by Josh and his team. The food was 10/10 and the service was great.This is a great choice of restaurants for anyone - business, families, friends or couples. A relaxed atmosphere with great views.I will be back for sure.
This is a must when you are in Airlie! A hidden gem set up above Airlie Beach with a relaxed vibe and super friendly staff. Check out the Anchor beer on tap, a favourite of mine paired with the chips with Cajun aoli, best way to cap off the day!
Been coming to terraces since 1996. This was a pleasant and awesome experience. View was mint, staff delightful, and food on point! Sister in Law has been 3 times in a fortnight. Excellent choice for a sunny day!
Moved to Airlie Beach in December 2016. found this wonderful place The Anchor bar. The view is amazing and the owners Leah and Josh are so friendly and welcoming also staff are great. you are made to feel right at home when you there. Foid is great. swimming pool and pool table and spa and you just relax with a nice cold beer or cocktail. my favourite place in Airlie Beach. Highly recomend this venue for all who visit Airlie
