"The hostess of our campsite recommended this Osteria. Honest, typical and food made with love (and other ingredients pf course All of this is true! We had a lovely meal and signed of with the majestic pane duce dolci. Though I am an absolute tiramisu addict, this beats it...... highly recommended. Why not 5 stars? On the terrace the engine of a compressor (or washing machine???? drove us nearly crazy"

"I found Castellum Vetus Vinaria by pure coincidence since I love to cycle through the county of Teramo including Casoli, which belongs to the city of Atri. What a find! Turns out that the owner and pizzaiolo Simone Pomante just won 3rd place in the World Pizza Contest in Rimini (Emilia Romagna, Italy early 2015. However not only his pizzas are excellent and very creatively composed, but also the home made pasta or the antipasti are a dream! We had home made ravioli with a ricotta filling and fresh tomato sauce. The serving for two had been plenty so that we were only able to share a pizza together: Borgo Nuovo with bacon, Gorgonzola cheese, tartufo, mozzarella and a sunny side up egg in the middle. Delicious!! Last time we had the pizza Simone won his 3rd place with: Pizza Del Casale Patate with potato, pecorino cheese from Farindola (Abruzzo , sausage and scamorza (air dried mozzarella cheese . To die for... : Simone, his mother and his staff are very courteous and it is a pleasure to visit them every time!"

"Food is excellent. We ate here two nights in a row. We had a bottle of white wine from Abruzzo and thoroughly enjoyed our meals each evening. While my husband enjoyed the meats and three cheese pizzas, I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled vegetables and salad one night and a vegan veggie pizza the next night specially prepared for me! Prices very reasonable."
