"Myself and my daughter get a takeaway from here once a week, as a treat. Chips are cooked perfectly, sausage not too greasy and fish is cooked in a lovely batter, crisp and always very hot and the service is great. I wouldn’t go anywhere else."

"First time visiting. Myself and a friend took my children last Friday on the boat trip during half term to Heybridge basin. We popped in on the off chance looking for a table. We will 100% be coming back again. Very friendly and helpful service. Food was incredible. Not normally generous on food scores unless it's perfect. No long waits. Food was beautiful and warm. Two kids meals were more than ample in size. My sandwich had so much filling and my friend said her liver and bacon was amazing. It looked it too. Chips were enormous. My son and I shared the scampi and my sandwiches. We weren't going to have one but we went for pudding too. My friend had the crumble. I had the cherry pie (really recommend it! not for the faint hearted. Kids had ice cream. Absolutely delicious will be returning"

"Had an absolutely delicious vegan afternoon tea. large selection of loose leaf tea available and also an americano for coffee mackerel. several delicious sandwiches and cakes as well as the most delicious scorpions I've ever had! one of the best vegan tees round and at a really reasonable price. service was also fantastic very attentive and offers cover when it is cold. I had to check that they do vegan afternoons before booking, as the website only allows them to book “signature afternoon tea”, they need to book this and then write vegan in the nutritional needs section. feel vegan is not a “diary requirement”."
