"Everyone there is so nice. They always remember my name and my order. I always tip as much as I can and try to remember their names too. (I remember CJ and Jackie and Ashley and Josh so far). The people working the oven deserve credit too! They are so polite and make sure they get my order just the way I like it. I'm happy to walk out of my way to spend my lunch breaks there (lockdown permitting). Thanks for working so hard!"

"I recently left my job at Taco Time after working there for barely 2 1/2 weeks. After this experience I will never work for a franchise again, I can 't believe how little the owners care about their staff, and the extremes they are willing to go to make money. The owners had us working in weather extremes ranging from 100-120 degrees during the heat wave, and in that time, they lost all 5 of their supervisors. When asked about the ac, we were lied to and told that it was working. It 's a fact that this is false, because a week later we had a professional fixing the ac, only after having Osha called on our store multiple times. The owner Page referenced the heat wave as a bunch of drama and when I asked her if this happens every year, the answer was yes. That kind of attitude shows me that workers are nothing but disposable to her, and I don 't understand how anybody can take that kind of treatment. Staffing was a nightmare; most of our staff was 15, and the other majority barely managed to show up. The 2 managers have gone above and beyond to make sure this place stays open by working 15-hour shifts. On many occasions, we closed early because we just couldn 't do it anymore. I had a co-worker who showed up to his shift late, after shooting up, bleeding from his face and arm, into the food. My manager Zack is the only person who seems to care about the customers because he closed early due to this behavior. When the owners found out about this, they found it unacceptable that he closed early, and wrote him up. Once again, this shows that the owners only care about making money and couldn 't care less about the safety of their employees or customers. I 've attached images of the thermostat from the restaurant."

"I am responsible for planning a retreat for my office at Cascadia College, and we have voted to make a cooking class for our team component of the full-day retreat. Kris made it very easy to book a class based on what we wanted to cook, and how many people we had what was 14. Since it is a small café, it was closed to the public, only for us our private cooking class, which was beautiful. We got 100% the attention of Kris when it comes to rolling and folding our Chinese and Korean dumplings. Then, he and his wife cooked all the dumplings, steamed and fried, and we have to eat over 80 dumplings that we created ourselves! Kris was very patient with those of us who had never made dumplings (like myself) and let me do so many, do it along me so that I understand. I finally got the slope of one of the harder wrinkles, and I felt very filled! I would highly recommend the Hodge Podge Cafe (A Global Kitchen) for small office retreats, or small parties and celebrations. It is a great place to learn how to cook a variety of kitchens, and soon I have to go back to try the food at the café!"
