"Sandwiches are the main thing during these troubles and I could not fault the ingredients, with great bread and cheese and salami and such a tasty sandwich overall, although they really skimped on the fillings. Much worse than Continental Deli's skimping but it was a bit cheaper so just about worth it. The albondigas were even better you could taste the mint and sweet Mexican flavour (I would have liked some chilli but it was still a unique flavour) and even the mash it was on was a cut above, however, they went heavy on the mash with just 5 small meatballs and only a small amount of the tomato sauce. Great food though, better food and also better value than I got from their sister Porteño."

"I tend to love the atmosphere and the decor in Mexican restaurants. They are usually colorful, with a bar-like, funny atmosphere. Calaveras was not different. Great place for drinks and winding after a long week. <br>

To share, we ordered the Guacamole, some Tacos and the beef Fajita. Guacamole was fresh and a big starter. I would have liked to serve a whole (or 2) alone. The plates of Tacos came next with a mixture of pulled pork, chicken and fish; And I could not help the Tacos very small. Anyway, taste way, they were decent, but were not excellent. They all seemed to create the same from the red sauce. They were spicy, but lacked these Mexican flavors I was thereafter. The beef strips for the Fajitas came across some rice + 3 tortillas on the side (which serves with restaurants in odd numbers). Fajita was okay, spicy, although I did not like the bovine strips were cut too fine. They reminded me of minced meat and saw more ...

"I use to work around the corner at Broadway shopping centre and always walked past the restaurant. It was always packed and I wanted to find out what the fuss was about. I booked a table to secure my table. The staff were very nice. I ordered the fajitas with vegetables and their signature nachos between my boyfriend and I. The food came out super fast and the portion size was great for someone who likes to enjoy a hearty meal.There was nothing I could really critique on. Overall, best experience of 'authentic' Mexican food. Definitely in for another trip soon!"
