"Absolutely do not go here.!! The images you see of the menu items are not accurate. The portion sizes are small and skimpy. I have been twice and the service has been very slow and the server not very knowledgeable. Also each visit upon exiting the Whiskey Exchange there has been the same gentlemen that meets you on the street very amicably and insists on walking with you to your car,then asks you for money like he is waiting for the patrons to exit. Very uncomfortable situation. The South Bend police know him by the name of Darrell. They cruise by and ask you if everything is ok. Its very sketchy. This is no fault of the Whiskey Exchange. Just go elsewhere. Maybe they havent found their groove yet but they have alot of work to do before I would ever make it an evening destination or refer anyone there."

"I am of German heritage, but I have never dined at an authentic German restaurant. To be honest, the only German food I like is bratwurst. I absolutely loathe sauerkraut. Yuk! lol I’ve known about this restaurant for a few years, but never dined there. My family and I wanted to have brunch at a new restaurant this morning. I remembered this place and suggested we try it. I was hoping they would be serving lunch at 11 AM (the time we arrived) because I wanted to try schnitzel. But, they were still only serving breakfast. Regardless, the food was quite delicious! Our server was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. I had the Bauernfrüstük. It was heaven on a platter! I definitely recommend!"

"One of my VERY favorite restaurant in town!! The vegan/vegetarian menu is incredible. You can also request any of the normal entrees made with meat to be substituted with tofu! I suggest the Pad Thai, Cre Asian noodle special, fried tofu. The ladies know how to help veganize an entree if needed."

"Good quality smoked meat. Good season. Not sure what wood they use, but beautiful kiss of smoke. Had pig, spare ribs and the Andouille. My co-eater loved the pulled pig Sammy. My ribs were quality tasting. Loved the selection of sauces. Vinegar Carolina was popular. I agree with others that smoke ring/color is missing. Pages were claw, mac-n cheese and maize bread. Slav was perfect with meat, creamy and homemade. I couldn't make it to corn bread. We exaggerated it. I'll be back when I'm in town! Up there."
