"Spent £8 for the salt and pepper squid and was a bit disappointed when only five small pieces arrived on the plate. Left hungry after being told it was supposed to be a light bite."

"This excellent vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free bed and breakfast is located in the middle of the village edale. we received a very warm greeting from julia (owners) who is very well informed about the local area and the nutritional needs. we received at the arrival tee and fresh coffee with delicious scenes in the garden. julia adds many additional touches, including handmade chocolates before spot, fresh flowers and fresh fruits. the amazing breakfast is worth a restaurant. including cherry pancakes, tofu dishes and tempeh. stonecroft is very clean and julia is an excellent host. well furnished room. stonecroft is just a short walk from the railway station (manchester to the sheffield line) and an information center connected to the local camping site. edale has two pubs and a good caffe. edale marks the beginning of the pennine way. a good starting point for beautiful walks in the hope valley. read less"

"After a walk around Kinder Scout and food was needed, we found this Cafe with some of the tastest food. It was fresh, cooked well and one of the best Eggs Benedicts I've had! Served with a smile in a scenic area, you couldn't knock it"
