"Where do I start with Le 9 G d'O? Like its name, the place is an enigma. The food is actually ok and the setting is lovely in the town square. We went because our youngest son wanted a hamburger and unfortunately, we didn't check with Trip Advisor first. As reported by another reviewer, the chips are pretty good certainly freshly cooked, and our kids rated the burgers (although they arrive on plates which were scattered decoratively with peas, chopped onions and peppers, perhaps emulating the plates in the nearby Michelin restaurant). Our coq au vin was tasty but there wasn't really anything to it (very little meat) and no veg, except the chips. The sauce seemed more appropriate for boeuf bourguignon than coq au vin. Then we come to the drinks. Obviously they had never heard of gin and tonic, so just brought a can of tonic at first, then, after a conversation with the waitress about what comprises a gin and tonic, a glass with just ice. After two tries I decided to enjoy the glass of tonic and ice, and hope for lemon and gin on another night. Next we ordered Cotes de Provence Rose wine and got Rhone, or something else rose, but by then I had given up. The desserts were ok. The coffee was disappointing. It could and should have been better, and until it is there are plenty of other places to try in Chagny."
