"Après nous être fait refouler du Colvert à Saint Lieux lès Lavaur (le maître restaurateur n'accepte pas de client après 13h15), puis du restaurant l'Echauguette à Giroussens (à 14h00, le service du midi ayant été bien rempli, inutile d'accepter 2 nouveaux clients), nous sommes arrivés par hasard dans cet établissement et à la question "pouvons-nous déjeuner ?", nous avons été surpris qu'on nous réponde "mais bien sûr, nous sommes là pour ça"Si la cuisine n'est pas extraordinaire, il faut quand même saluer le professionnalisme dans une région touristiqueRien que pour cet état d'esprit mérite que cet établissement vive"

"We have eaten at this restaurant many times over years, under various managements. The current one, relatively new, seems a disaster. The front of house staff were disorganized, inattentive and unprofessional. We sat at the table for an HOUR before any food arrived, apart...from a basket of white bread. If we hadn't been with friends, we would have gotten up and left. It was a busy day--the weekend of the village ceramics festival, always a highlight of the year in Giroussens--and you'd think the restaurant would be well prepared and staffed for the usual crowd--but far from it. It was a perfect opportunity to show the community the chef's best culinary offerings--but the food quality was also poor. We were told it would be a menu fixe--only two selections--and that would have been fine if either had been any good. Both disappointing, especially the ghastly fish dish which seemed to be frozen lotte with some kind of bottled shellfish poured over it and two huge peeled potato halves resting atop it all. ZERO for presentation, zero for taste. Perhaps not suprisingly, the waitress didn't question why of the meal was still left on the plate when she removed it. We had booked two weeks in advance to have a table in the airly terrace room with a view over the lovely countryside. Instead we were shuffled into a dull side room with walls painted grey, slate-colored curtains, beige table clothes and poor lighting. The heart sank. The restaurant offered to take off the half bottle of wine given the long wait, but nothing could redeem this depressing experience."

"Canteen and factory. the boss allows to engender the servers in the room and even talk about termination with the customers. I asked a question to know if they were open in the evening and the waitress answered "Do you not think we're going to reopen in the evening?". beautiful atmosphere. Everything's in the sauce. the taste and freshness of the dishes are not there."
