"I invited my 17 year old daughter to celebrate her brilliant bac exam results. It was a late august evening, 25°C and the sun was setting over the lake, throwing a streak of gold across the water. We sat under one of the many trees on the terrace and were tended to by the owner, with his dry sense of humour. Our snoring boxer dog lay contentedly next to the table and was quite welcome. I had friture du lac tiny deep fried fish from the lake served with sauce tartare. It was delicious. My daughter had tartiflette which was apparently very good but not as good as I make it (and I DO make an extremely good one, I must admit). The setting was lovely and the service friendly and efficient. We had a really nice evening."
In nice weather you can even have something in the outdoor area.

"We were on a tour through the lake when we got hungry and started looking for a place to dinner. A nice “yes, we accept dogs” was our welcome and we were able to save the last table. A magnificent view of the lake from... the front part of the terrace. Fine. The friendly staff soon served us and we enjoyed a Niçoise salad for me and Escargots followed by a frying of small local fish for my companion. The dogs have their bowl of water. The restaurant was by no means chic, but locals and tourists come there, which is always a good sign."

"Quiet, charming, delicious, super service. What else can you ask? we visited as a family with our little children and parents for dinner. policy and service were overwhelmed! dimmed lights, comfortable chairs (our younger asked immediately to in his...high chair rather short menu and well balanced wein list. everyone liked what they had (except perhaps for a Parmesan snapbread with avocado that was somewhat tasteless), but when the time came for gloomy, we lost our talk so good it was! In view of our different try in other megeve restaurants we think that this (also expensive) is a great value for money."
