"Might be overplaying my hand here, but easily the best classic new york style slice in the midwest, at least from what I've tried. Guys at the counter are always very friendly. Not quite to par with the ideal $1 slice, but 2 big slices and a drink for $8 is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend."

"Ordered lunch, was the only table initially but got our order after two other groups were seated and they received their food before us. Manager/supervisor was socializing with friends at the bar. Part of order was forgotten and we had to wave the server down to get service. Server never came back to see how the food was after we started eating and hence did not refill our drinks. Pizza was delicious but the Caesar salad was very fishy. Disappointing visit."

"We LOVE this place! The food is so fresh here, it stands out from most places for that simple reason alone. Breakfast has farm fresh eggs and the jam is homemade! The Pig's Eye breakfast is one of our faves as is the Bananas Foster French toast. To.die.for! Yeah, there's a wait, but they tell you that when you get there and it's because it's SO delish!! It's a rare thing, no matter how chic restaurant. Quick history. I recently met a friend for lunch in Angelo. She had a tough day. There was a little crying, and a lot of talking, but mostly we needed time and space to decompress. When many restaurants focus on nothing but making tables, Kayla gave us all the time we needed. Nobody swore, and we never felt hurried. Service and food were excellent, we had a post-lunch round of Kribbage, and we never have the impression that we were in every way, or that someone waited for us to go. It may not seem like a big deal, but it was just what we needed. And it made a loyal customer of me. This is my story. "Bread was so dark and over cooked.. was sitting out on a rack so of course it was stale. I didn?t order anything, just sandwiches for my kids. One of my kids didn?t want to eat it so I did.. lo and behold, my child who ate his sandwich and myself who ate the other kid?s sandwich were both sick about 18 hrs after eating. Will not eat here again. Do not trust food is held at appropriate temp here. Just felt wrong on so many levels."
