"This was our Valentine's Day dinner. Everything went well, great company, excellent food and service. It’s not a huge menu; but there is enough variety to find something. For those who care there are 2 washrooms that are gender neutral. I don't know why any negative reviews; this is our second visit and we're very particular about our seafood. NO COMPLAINTS here. For a starter we had a clams oregenata; an actual clam in a delicious sauce. Perfectly cooked and executed. I tried the sole francaise with a potato croquet and broccoli. Both the sole and potato were amazing. Hot, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I'm not a broccoli fan, so I can't comment on the vegetable. Although the size of the fillet was closer to the size of a flounder fillet. It was still toothsome morsel. I've caught and cleaned enough of both, but nevertheless it wasn't over cooked. She had the seared sea scallops. Not even a Michelin star celebrity chef would have a complaint with the way they were prepared. The portions are just enough and the flavors complimentary. The margarita wasn't boozy, too sweet, or unbalanced. It was a sipping drink that went down smoothly. She thoroughly enjoyed her Bloody Mary. It too, was just right. The espresso had actual schiuma! You need a machine for that. I just can't believe this restaurant isn't on coast; where really fresh seafood is always available and the patrons are used to exceptional seafood prepared and served to perfection. That's why the five star rating; if I could give an extra star I would."

"I rarely command and if I do, I expect it to be almost perfect. I had a pickup from masala dosa. I was very disappointed by the quality and the amount of food they forgot to pack my next tochutneys that come with masala dosa. what is masala dosa without the chutneys? not only was my eating incomplete, but it tasted very old. I think they serve old life means, so if they like sensitive, they keep that in mind and the price is high."

"The food is overpriced, extremely small portions and not great flavor. I had the burrata as an appetizer and the cheese was very watery (ie not good quality) and not a lot of seasoning. It was gross and costs $17. I normally love burrata so I know what it should taste like. I also had the corn fritters. There were 3 for $13. I’ve had better at a local diner. The salad was $17 an extra $9 for grilled chicken. It was the only thing that was ok but our dining experience was certainly not worth the price. I would not come here again. There are many better options in Beacon!Update for the Owner:I noticed that the server removed the burrata from our bill which we appreciated and gave back to the server in her tip. And FYI the diner food was better than yours. It's not about price it's about quality for the price and the food here was not good. We regularly eat at Crew and Farm to Table as well as many other local restaurants and I am happy to pay $30 for a salad with grilled chicken at those places because they have excellent food that someone took the time to prepare well. Unfortunately, that's not what we experienced at your restaurant."

"Efficient and courteous service (the workers are pros on a busy Sunday morning! Tip them big), quality home-made pastries are priced reasonably and proportioned well and my dirty chai and my friend’s pumpkin spice latte were incredible! They use Counter Culture which is one of my fave bean brands personally, and need to be specially prepared by baristas so you know this spot is quality. Many syrup and milk options, and a drink special. Lots of variety in pastries, wish we could try them all! We loved the pumpkin loaf and the pumpkin pie. Lots of seating outside! Much cuter homey vibe than some of the plastic-y shopping centered expensive cafes on this street."

"Fiirst time visiting and what a surprise. Parking was not that much of a problem. The people that work there was very friendly and helpful. We got seated right away and ordered moments later. The food was very good. I had the carrot ginger soup, impossible burger with fries and a salads. Well done. I definitely will be back."
