"The first time that it is eaten there yesterday evening and will not be the last. our party of 6 all enjoyed wonderful fresh and very tasty eating. the service was excellent - the young man who served us was also so attentive and friendly. Drinks were delicious and my daughter (which lives in edinburgh) came that her strawberry mojito was the best cocktail she had every taste! very good to all who work there."

"We stayed here in 2015 for a brief stay and enjoyed it then so returned again for 3 nghts to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and immediately gave us a map and guidance on where to visit in the town. The waiting staff at meal times were also great, especially Marion, one of the waitresses, who always gave us a cheery smile and welcome. Room was great (Room 24) and the bed extremely comfortable. Will certainly return in the future when visiting the area."

"This was just wonderful in every way. A meal which completely outdid recent visit to Tom Kitchen restaurant in Edinburgh in every way. Beautiful food. Wonderful care very personal. Unobtrusive. Honest honest. And food sourced and grown locally. I was encouraged to run my finger round the plate to pick up the last drops of sauce. 'Feel at home '. So very relaxing. The four of us dining just loved it. Not cheap but excellent quality and value for money. Worth every penny and pound! Shall return!"

"Have been in a few times for drinks, always missed out on vegan cake but finally managed to get some! Also had savoury food which was very tasty (the curry special of the day). Others in the group had the vegan buddha bowls and the baked sweet potato salad (huge). Relaxed atmosphere, free drinking water, dogs welcome, bikes can also be brought in and hung on the pole out of the way whilst you have your drink. Update Dec 2019 been several times more, for soup bread, and had cake often. The ever changing flavoured scones are vegan and definitely worth it. Updated from previous review on 2019 08 23"
