"Needing somewhere to break the long journey from Calais to Brittany, we hit upon Beuzeville, just off the A13 Paris Normandy motorway and near the junction with the motorway from the Pont de Normandie: so, a quiet provincial town, with a traditional French auberge on the edge of the main square (free parking just opposite). Our room was just what we needed: simple, clean, with a large, comfortable bed and decent shower and wi fi. What we had not expected what the outstanding cuisine on a standard, inexpensive menu, produced by the hotel’s owner and chef a passionate advocate of local producer, especially apples, but willing to surprise you with amuse bouche which would grace a much more expensive establishment. Breakfast, which can be somewhat predictable in France, was also quite outstanding and memorable. We shall certainly be stopping here on future trips."
