"Auf dem Rückweg aus dem Urlaub wollten wir in Weil am Rhein Essen gehen. Ich kannte aus einem früheren Aufenhalt ein Restaurant in der Hauptstraße. Leider gibt es dieses scheinbar nicht mehr und wir entschieden uns daher für das Schanghai. Wir alle mussten nach der langen Fahrt dringend auf Toilette und so war es schon etwas störend, dass das Restaurant erst auf den Punkt zur Öffnungszeit aufgeschlossen wurde, obwohl die Dame uns und vor allem unsere Kinder vor der geschlossenen Türe hat herumhüpfen sehen. Aber: Ist schon okay, ist ihr gutes Recht. Wir durften einen der für später reservierten Tische besetzen (zu sechst war das die einzige Möglichkeit). Die Bestellung wurde aufgenommen und das Essen kam mit großem zeitlichen Abstand so dass die Kinder schon lange aßen, als wir Eltern das Essen endlich bekamen. Das Restaurant füllte sich schnell. Das Essen war lecker (nicht außergewöhnlich gut, aber doch okay). Etwas irritierend war, dass als wir nach Essstäbchen fragten erst zwei Paar für die Erwachsenen gebracht wurden und uns zeitgleich das reguläre Besteck weggenommen wurde. Als wir aber sagten, dass auch die Kinder gerne Stäbchen haben würden, schien die Dame gleich etwas genervt, brachte dann aber 4 Paar Stäbchen hinterher.Irgendwann im Verlauf des Essens kam sie dann, griff unerwartet über unsere Teller und schnappte sich das verbliebene Besteck vom Tisch. Unsere verdutzten Gesichter hätte ich gerne als Foto.Dann bestellten wir etwas Reis nach. Sie nahm die leere Schüssel mit, sagte keinen Ton und verschwand. Es dauerte und dauerte. Zum Glück hatten unsere Kinder noch Reis, so dass wir weiteressen konnten. Wir begannen zu zweifeln ob sie eventuell dachte, wir wollten nur mehr Platz auf dem Tisch haben.Als wir fast fertig waren, kam der Reis dann aber doch.Wir bezahlten, gaben wenig Trinkgeld (was die Dame sichtlich ärgerte) und verließen das Lokal.Abgesehen von dieser Bedienung war das Essen völlig okay, schön dekoriert (mit Lilien aus Karottenstreifen) und preislich angemessen. Zum Stammlokal wird es für uns aber sicher nicht, zumal wir ja auch nur auf der Durchreise waren."

I am sure that a microwave heart plays a very prominent role in preparing the dishes, but the taste is still okay. during my stay. there were some rather inconspicuous and drunk mozens that were displaced by the peculiarity, but it felt everything like a day and not at all from the ordinary."
