"1st February 2015Wow I'm just home at half past midnight and what a really good night at Le Rosbif in St Vincent. The pub was packed with both French and British rocking to the music played by Electric Blue. They are really a great group with plenty of experience and a wonderful repertoire suitable not just for the ageing expat community but for the much younger French customers. They were well applauded by both communities.The Fish and Chips were really great. It is so nice to eat pure white fish in a lovely batter and at a very reasonable price. I decided to go for the entrecote steak and wow do they know how to cook and serve it. Just delicious. There were 8 of us including 3 children. We all enjoyed ourselves.The young couple behind the bar were supported by the rest of the family with Wayne and Jane firmly in charge of the kitchen along with a French cook.I am hoping that Wayne and Jane continue with their Saturday night entertainment, once or twice a month. If so I'll certainly be there. It is so nice to feel at home in a bar in France with people who I can talk to even though I've never met them before, just like in the UK. One French girl grabbed my camera and took several photos of me and the staff behind the bar.A really great night.I have no business or family connection with the owners of this bar."

"Après avoir découvert ce restaurant en début d année, nous y retournons régulièrement, en famille ou entre amis, toujours avec plaisir. Les menus sont toujours une découverte et sont délicieux de fraîcheur, à un prix raisonnable. Le choix des vins au verre est large et excellent. Le personnel, le chef de salle et le/la sommelier(e) sont à la écoute, agréables et de bon conseil. Bonne présentation des plats. Un cocktail à la demande servi au bar adjacent ou en terrasse est un plus. Je recommande vraiment ce lieu."

"Good value for all products! Pizzas are good, burgers too. Be careful not to get too tot! we arrived at 7:15 to eat ... then we were waited because the service was not in place. no mayonnaise for the fries that they serve because everything is done home they do not make mayonnaise, on the other hand I was offered ketchup ... Nice and quiet frame. Pizza Pate and burgers bread come from the bakery, butterfly steacks, so fresh and frankly for the price it is worth it."

"Cadre champêtre très agréable. D'autant qu'il faisait beau pour ce déjeuner en famille. La terrasse ensoleillée est un bonheur. L'ambiance est chaleureuse et les menus bien servis, bien que pas assez copieux à mon goût. Les roulés de galette en apéro sont vraiment (très) bons. Adresse à recommander. Bonne route à eux."

"Partis pour quelques jours en ballade ( péniche) en basse saison, c'est avec un grand plaisir que nous rédigeons ce mémo : en effet, alors que le restaurant semblait fermé, un jeudi soir, le patron nous a immédiatement rassurés, il était prêt à nous faire à manger sans attendre,alors même qu'il était tout seul. il nous a tendu la carte avec un grand sourire : chez lui , c'est lui qui fait la cuisine et ça se ressent : nous avons dégusté une salade copieuse et généreusement garnie de foie gras frais "maison" et ensuite nous avions opté pour un "burger- chèvre" divin, accompagné de vraie frites maison, ... on était déjà calés.. quand est arrivé le far au caramel lui aussi maison, c'était excellent, (et juste un café pour finir) puis , on a entamé une discussion avec le patron qui est un type vraiment charmant, on sent qu'il aime son métier et quelques clients qui étaient restés au bar.. on a passé une agréable soirée sauf que quand les réverbères se sont éteints , on s'est regardés en se demandant si on allait arriver à rentrer à la péniche ( heureusement que les téléphones font "lampe" aussi .. )voilà, c'était important pour moi de rendre sa gentillesse au patron du blackbass, épicerie-bar-restaurant, ouvert même quand ça semble fermé et si accueillant pour les touristes de passage. bravo! Continuez comme ça , vous avez vraiment un bel esprit et une bonne cuisine, aussi nous vous souhaitons surtout "une bonne saison" ! et à bientôt"
