"From start to finish an excellent experience. A small but impeccable dining room offers the most refined dining experience in St Martin. The cooking here easily surpasses several Michelin starred restaurants we have visited recently and I'm sure the guide must surely be thinking awarding one here. What we liked was a respect for the ingredients. Top produce with seasonality in mind and then cooked to perfection with a restraint not to add unnecessary garnishes.We also shared a bottle of the hotel's own wine Chateau Clarisse Vielle Vignes 2015 which is new Chateau to me. What a lovely bottle. Already drinking superbly I can say quality to price ratio it is somewhat of a bargain. Until next year!"

Well, no, there will be no dessert: we were simply forgotten (we were at the end of the terrace). the customers of the nearby tables are also left on their hunger. the manager speaks a lot, walks a lot (always empty hands), the waitresses seem to be delivered to themselves, in short, the lack of professionalism is blatant at the peasant inn of the sea.As for the addition, the manager gives us the total amount with a calculator in the hand, but without cash tickets: normal, here you are not in a restaurant but in a hostel!!! surprising, right?"

"4pm on a warm and windy September day. You've been cycling for 5 hours and then you arrive at RE Ostrea on the way back to Saint Martin. 12 oysters and a bottle of muscadet. Sat at one of the high wood benches looking out to the sea. It does not get much better than this. This is one of the best oyster experiences in the world. It revives the spirit and soul."
