"A classic. Truly a grand hotel, an aging beauty. It is very close to wonderful shopping, and front facing rooms overlook the lovely lake. The public rooms are beauriful, the service very good, as one would expect. The fitness center is excellent too. My room...was very well furnished. A great place to stay in Hamburg."

"We are absolute fans of Theos. If you get back so much good, it's worth 5 stars. Great food and very friendly staff, fantastico!!!!! Please stay that way. One more word to the “Nörglers” that it is better in the meatery and that the operation is unfriendly. I don't know what these people do. I mean, a little further south is the station, there's something to eat."

"Hallo,wer ein Restaurant leitet der so bekannt ist, muss davon ausgehen, dass man hier die Messlatte auf das gleiche Niveau legt wie Herr Rach testet. Nun zum Restaurant: Sehr freundlicher Empfang (mit kleinen Verbesserungspotenzial). Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) wurden zum Tisch gebracht. Hier wurden wir dezent darauf hingewiesen doch anzugeben das wir mit Kindern kommen. Hier fühlte man sich nicht willkommen. Die Bedienung hat sich sehr bemüht, war aber noch nicht perfekt. Die Bestellung wurde aufgenommen und es wurde sogar daran gedacht, das Essen für die Kinder mit den Vorspeisen zu bringen. Vorab gab es selbstgemachtes Zwiebelbrot. Dies war sehr gut. Dann kamen die Vorspeisen und die Gerichte für die Kinder. Wir hatten einen Salat (zu wenig Dressing) und eine Suppe (die war sehr gut) Die Kinder hatten Pommes (für Kinder zu viel Salz dran) und Makkaroni mit Tomatensoße (selbst gemacht und lecker) Die Pommes waren mit Ketchup (Heinz aus der Flasche!!!!!) und Majo (schmekte nicht selbst gemacht). Meine Frau hatte Dorade (war gut). Ich hatte den Burger. Der erste ging zurück da das Fleisch versalzen war. Dann wolte ich eigentlich (aus Zeitgründen) nichts neues mehr. Hier wurde ich jedoch fast schon genötigt (der Koch macht gerade einen neuen) den dann doch zu nehmen. Der kam dann als der Rest schon fertig war mit dem Essen. Somit haben dann alle mit dem Nachtisch warten bis ich fertig war. Zwischendurch sind die Getränke leer gegangen. Dies wurde nicht bemerkt. Bis hierher eher eine unterdurchschnittliche Leistung. Nun musste man auch mal auf's WC. Mh, in den Fensterlaibungen und unter der Decke Spinnenweben. An der Tür schon dunkler "Spack" vom zuziehen (nicht an der Klinke) der Tür. Nach allem haben wir die Rechnung bekommen (von einer sehr unfreundlich wirkenden älteren Frau). Warum hier so viele gute Bewertungen sind? Ich weiß es nicht. Ach ja, ich möchte hier noch erwähnen, das man aus Kulanz eine kleine Flasche Wasser nicht berechnet hat."

"The Alexandros is a lovely place located just off busy Mönckebergstraße in Hamburg's city center and perfect for a little break during your shopping, sightseeing or working day! The restaurant offers one business lunch per day you could check the menu online or by phone....We've been there for an Afternoon Tea. The place is so lovely and comfy you would like to stay all day it feels like stepping into a living room of a long gone period. The little restaurant has only one room with a handful of tables. It is decorated with a lot of love for detail by its owner, Alexandros. He alone is worth the visit: Born to be a host, always lovely and welcoming, you feel comfortable immediately. You could tell he loves historic tea sets china, silver, you name it, it's there since the food is served on this beautiful tableware. We had Afternoon Tea with Port sandwiches, scones, cookies, tea and of course a glass of port the bottle was left on our table for refill!. When waiting for our order to be prepared, we spent the time looking around. The restaurant used to be a book shop and some furniture and lovely stuff was kept by the owner. So you could read books or check out historic toys etc. There's also a shelf with stuff to buy: Greek Olive Oil, tea, sweets etc. Since Alexandros seems to know all his guests, at some point we were talking all together and had a lovely time. Prices are not cheap but reasonable, food is prepared freshly, the atmosphere is just lovely. We will definitely return very soon"
