"Another restaurant where we found ourselves eating there twice during our family holiday. Excellent food, entertaining and friendly host and very good service too. You are made to feel like you’re a regular there. The place inside hasn’t changed much since we were last there over 5 years ago but it’s part of the charm of both the restaurant and Burgau itself. Last but not least it’s perched on the hill above the village so the views are just wonderful. Until the next time....."

"Called in to book 3 days in advance and asked for the window inside. This table had special memories for us. We arrived and were told we couldn't have the table? I said we had booked it and at first the man said we hadn't booked with him and went to speak to his partner. The partner said he hasn't booked us and he returned and said he had booked us at that table but shouldn't have!?! We took another table as we knew we wouldn't get in anywhere else without a booking. We ordered but they were out of the meal my husband wanted so he ordered steak. My chicken peri peri was fine but his steak was so tough he couldn't eat it. At no time did anyone ask if we were ok. We flagged the only waitress to ask for another drink. When the waitress came to clear the plates we told her the steak was tough and she took our plates away. The owner came over to offer us a desert but We had already asked for the bill. We paid and left. Husband hungry will not return."
