"1. Timer. We had both Flounder (3 Filets). The fish was deep fried, but not overdue. The claw was perfect! Touch of sweet, do not swim in Mayo vinegar. Hush puppies were the best I ever had. Homemade dough, shaped like onion rings that cook them through even (no dough center). The building is not ruffles, but clean and tidy. Service was fast and very friendly. Fridays and Saturdays are with long lines outside they say. We went on Thursday at 3:45 and came in."

"My son and me enjoyed many delicious meals here before the pandemic for years even when John Baldwin and John White were Store Managers. Both men did an excellent job and were friendly. John Baldwin walked around the dining room and knew everyone. We always loved going there and knew the staff by name. Great times and memories with my son Micah."

"Nothing to impress. Nothing bad. I charged the car, so I had about 45 minutes and needed a meal. The service was not slow, but also not awfully friendly. Not much conversation. Just like talking to a McDonalds up the window. Food came and I missed a few things, they were brought to me. I ate some meals, Tilapia. The fish was cooked in a way that leaves it with a unique taste. Not terrible, but definitely unusual. The rest of the plate was best ok, the avocados were fresh and good. I had no time to finish, so I got a to-go box and had the rest for lunch today. It was better on the second day. Not even what I would call a good restaurant, but the prices are low and everything else corresponds to the low prices. So, it's okay if you like the food, just don't come here with much to expect. If you want good food, try Aubrey at the end of the block. Your food is at least what I would call good. Oh, yeah, and they have at least Wi-Fi that La Carreta doesn't have."
