"Where should I start? Oddly slow service on a slow night with open tables in the front we were put in the corner of an empty back room. We ordered a crazy tiger hidden dragon roll, the description was interesting. When it came the roll tasted like it had been dipped in lemon juice, and was boarder-line inedible. Not an odd flavour combination. The menu indicated that lemon was involved. But this was strong enough to make both of us pull faces when we ate it .On top of that the very odd choice of loud music kept getting frequently interrupted by the generic IPhone notification sound and occasionally by the keyboard typing sound. I had been recommended this place by locals several times but I can’t say I will be back."

"Friendly service. Bad (burning) deep roasted food. In the same order of the frits will be some white (uncooked) and some will be done so about there is only a dark brown crust with no potato left inside. Don't even think about the fish."

"The omelettes are just a bit pricey but very large and filling. They have 12+ choices and even a build your own. My husband and I love trying different ones. I love the cappuccino and the house coffee. Hubby likes a Bloody Mary. I can’t forget to mention the home made jams if you opt for it. Marionberry is my favorite. Sooo good! It’s in a great location and a must try anytime in Ashland. A favorite of our visit!"

"We really like this place. We stayed at the Hotel for my birthday and had a good meal at Larks. I do have a couple of comments. I had the meatloaf, which was amazing except for the glaze. It was made from dates which made it way too sweet for my taste. The roasted carrots were hard and tough as well, but these two things did not keep me from enjoying the food. Just a couple of observations. My wife had the house made pappardelle with sage cream and house made bacon. Awesome . If you are in Ashland looking for great food in a very Covid sensitive atmosphere, give Larks a shot."
