"Ate here two days as the staff and service was so good and so welcoming. Fairly standard alps menu type but the quality of food was excellent and the attentive service made this an awesome place for lunch. "We went on a Tuesday evening only to be told it was a specialties night only so local cream/cheese/ham dishes. It actually was very nice. Half a Rebochlon, potatoes and baked in cream. This was served with a delicious selection of local hams and a green salad. All for 14 Euros each. A typically chalet style dining room with maybe a tad too bright lighting but other than that very good."

"A must during our different stays in the Grand-Bornand. We ate on the terrace and indoors. Small advice: take a sweater to eat on the terrace because even if it is hot at the Grand Bornand VIllage, when you climb to the Chalet du Venay you lose a few degrees! My favorite dish: tarfiflette. I'm an amateur tartiflette and I'm very demanding. This tartiflette is a killing!!! I recommend it warmly and I let myself be influenced to adapt my own recipe from that of the Chalet du Venay (I tell you the trick: bring the potatoes cooked to water and cut into cubes, to the pan with the bacon and onion, before putting everything in the dish in the oven! ."
