"We planned on having dinner at Tukatula after spending the afternoon at the beach next to the restaurant. We arrived at the hostess stand at around 6PM and were told they couldn't accommodate us to sit outside for dinner because all of the tables were reserved due to live music being played that night. All of the tables were completely empty. We decided to stay for dinner anyway and sat inside (very small and stuffy space). We started with the clams, which were very tasty. I had the seared tuna steak, which was cooked to perfection. My husband and daughter both had the burger, which they did not care for. My other daughter had the vegetable pasta which was just okay. We finished dinner at around 7:30, and all of the outdoor tables remained empty. They really could have accommodated us outside, but didn't."

"I visited the restaurant with family (group of 9 including a 7 year old) in May 2017. We chose Quinta dos Sabores based on TripAdvisor reviews and ratings, and it did not disappoint one iota. A quaint little restaurant with capacity for about 20. The owner, Paulo, and his staff take great pains to give the customer the best possible experience.Ambience - Quiet, welcoming, homely. Great for a long evening with friends or a romantic date.Food - There is no fixed menu. Paulo takes note of all your dietary requirements when taking your reservation. They are very flexible - one of our group was a vegetarian and one other was a pescatarian. The recipes vary from traditional to modern, with obvious care in preparation. The flavours are amazing, thanks to the fresh produce used in all their cooking. Most of what is put on the table is prepared by them from scratch.Service - Light snacks were served the second all of us were seated. The rest of the dinner followed at a good, even pace. Service is quiet, very efficient and unobtrusive.If you are visiting Sao Miguel, you have to visit Quinta dos Sabores. I very highly recommend it!"

"Maria and her staff provided a delicious lunch for our 20+ group during two hikes, both in beautiful spots along the way. Her spread was a welcome sight after our walks! She offered homemade salads, quiches, sandwiches, desserts all Azorean specialities and yummy! and soft drinks. She was always delightful and accommodating. Highly recommended!"
