"We decided to try this restaurant, based on its website, the history of the ortes, the legendary mado, and the gastronomic cuisine. the reality, in harmony with other recent reviews, is that eating is everything, but gastronomic, and the prices are astronomical. we. tried to order one of the 2 lamb dishes on the menu, just to say that the only available lamb was the “près salé” art, not on the menu, and of course more expensive. the same story with the wine, with the only available half bottle is the pricier one. clear upselling techniques. the fish soup didn't taste better than the canned if it wasn't just that. the gutterrine was dry and moderate. the ficelle picarde was so, at best. the so-called sole meunière was not a single (dover sole), but a “limande” or lemon sole, a less high quality fish. the presentation of the food was nothing like what one would expect in this price class, from a place with such a story. the new management seems to be more focused on making a dollar than continuing the legacy of mado. having eaten by many restaurants in le crotoy, this is by far the worst and the only one that was bad. we will not be back, and I would recommend going away from mado, unfortunately."
In nice weather you can even eat in the outdoor area.

"Friday is market day at Le Crotoy, and although it isn't as full as it was when the July/August holidaymakers are here, it's still busy. We chose Le Saint Pierre so that we could sit in the shade and watch the market pack itself away we might have been better off choosing a sunnier location as there was quite a chilly wind off the sea. The place was full indoors and outdoors. We both went for the 12€ for two courses set menu (13€50 for three, got to be a bargain). I had the assiette de charcuterie pâté, three or four slices of various salami etc; my wife had the fish terrine. For the main course she had escalope de dinde in a mushroom sauce with chips; I went for the moules frites. Moules are ubiquitous in le Crotoy they haul them out of the sea somewhere round here . I was a bit disappointed with these ones the chef had used leeks instead of onion, missed out the garlic, and added carrots. So they were as fresh and tender as you could wish for, but not really moules marinières. The turkey was much nicer. Still, not bad for the money, and as much as you could reasonably eat without exploding like Mr Creosote. Service was polite but a bit overwhelmed by the market day crowds so a bit slow, but not that much of a surprise."
