"Unbelievable steam buns! The texture of the bun was perfect and the flavours of the ingredients inside were 10/10. We tried the Pork Belly and Tuna buns but they have a few other flavours, plus curries and Noodle bowls, too. Definitely check this place out, just one block down from the main street and way less busy!"

"We went to Big Daddy’s Fish 3 times within 36 hours. Safe to say we loved it. The staff was very welcoming and this is easily the juiciest halibut we have had in a long time. The batter is crisp and the fish is soft and flakey. Coleslaw was tasty but pricey at $8. The fries, like at most fish and chips spots, were just okay and nothing to rave about. However, I could go eat that fish everyday. After the first time we did ask them to season the fish before batter. They complied and the fish got soooo much better. 5/5. Also great tarter sauce."

"We love to get under the skin of a place and having read the reviews we had to give this a try on our fourth and final evening. We knew we were coming to a limited seafood menu. Marcie cleared the recently vacated table for two and we felt lucky to get in. She was full of excellent advice throughout. We had local beers and started with top class mussels and clams in white wine and shrimp and scallop. Each had just the right accompaniment. A ceviche of prawns and a half platter of smoked fish rounded off the evening. This is local and unpretentious but the welcome and the atmosphere, not forgetting the freshness of the fish were a real find at the end of a hot summer's day."

"So we walked in and got greeted by the hostes and had a lovely view of the beach and sunset, then it all started going downhill. Our drink took forever, sadly the bartender was our server too, out appetizers came after a 45 minute wait and came cold. The couple next to us order wine and a beer and had to wait 45 mins for the beer. We almost walked out after having a talk with the manager on shift. They told us after another 45 minute wait for main course that our plates were unpresentable they had to remake our food. So we agreed to stay for them. Sadly we got a horrible meal our steak was over cooked and tons of fat on the steak, the fries were the bottom of a bag dumped in a fryer, and was all small bits. The seafood linguine the noodles were under cooked, the sauce was so runny with zero flavour, the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery, and for the price we paid for everything even with appetizers got taken off the bill was still more expensive then shelter. If I had a choice I would never go back, the cooks are horrible and not run right. The servers just roam around and at one point our server came out with food on her mouth. Sadly an enjoyable day in Tofino was ruined after arriving at 6:45 at night for dinner to leave at 9:15pm waiting for poor food. I never walked out of a restaurant and my gut said to pay for the drinks and leave, and I should have followed my gut, save your money and go somewhere else. The worst $80 dinner I ever had with poor service!"

"Not much around that are after 9pm so stopped in for food. Big portion and the food was good.My only complaint would be the prices. For take out food for 2 people it was very steep...as much if not more than you pay for a sit down meal.For a burger and fries at those prices IHave not returned...bought groceries the next day!!If you're willing to pay enjoy!"
