"We spent a wonderful weekend in this hotel. Despite the current restrictions, everything was done on the part of the hotel so that one felt comfortable as a guest. The hotel is centrally located on Wittmund Market Square. There are enough parking spaces at the house. From here you can visit the nearby surroundings. You can also walk through the small town or the castle park in the evening through the central location. The reception was very friendly, everything was prepared for our arrival. We felt welcome. The room was sufficiently large, the bed comfortable. There were two armchairs with a table. Everything clean and well maintained. The bathroom is also large, clean and well equipped with a large shower. Our room was located to the park and was therefore very quiet. Breakfast was served on the table due to the Corona location. There was nothing to complain about here, too. Fresh rolls, sausage cheese, salmon plates, jam. Yoghurt and other jams (packed) could be fetched. You could reorder everything. There was a selection of agitated eggs, fried eggs, cooked eggs. All freshly prepared. Dinner was very good. 3 courses menus, every evening something else, daily selection between fish and meat main course. Everything very delicious and freshly prepared. In particular, we would like to praise the kindness and attention of the staff. We constantly tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were all satisfied. A small minus point is that the rooms are not properly darkened. In the summer it is very early very bright. But this is really just a very small criticism. Nevertheless, we would definitely visit this hotel again and recommend it quite clearly."

"We visited this place in Wittmund on Saturday 01.08 at 1x and we were very pleasantly surprised. Friendly and accommodating service staff and beautiful ambience. The carvings were very well prepared and tastefully perfectly processed. The additional salad had to be ordered extra (2.50€), but okay. We can only recommend this location. The price-performance ratio was top. Happy again!"

"If you ask locals, you usually get the answer: for dinner you go to the Cafe Caro (or to the Sielkrug or the harbour view) The Cafe Caro has an extensive menu and was previously also appreciated because of its typical East Frisian food and home cooking and its favorable prices. After a change of ownership in 2016, the quality is still good, but no longer comparable to the years before. Although the Cafe Caro has all the requirements to be more popular: it is located in the center of the village opposite the dike church. This is where every tourist passes. Parking is possible in the surroundings and there is enough space to be able to sit outside, by glass panes a little shielded from the traffic noise. Prices are average and ok, the quality of food as well."

"Wir hatten Glück und bekamen ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch für 4 Personen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich. Hier sollte jeder etwas für seinen Geschmack finden können. Die Größe der Portionen sind eher groß zu bewerten. Die Qualität der Speisen super! Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt!Kurzum, wir kommen bestimmt wieder!"
