"Ladies and gentlemen please don't order the Portuguese soup. I worked there in the kitchen,in Bristol. Joe the main cook a quack. The owners cousin who comes from Portugal is a hot hot mess. I was chopping kale for the soup and came across bugs. Itold her we can't use the kale. Well she did. Just ???? awful ????. The owner is a fantastic man. I doubt that he knows whatwent on in the kitchen. He's just a kind man. His daughter did the paperwork for employees nice young lady. He just needs tobe present when they prep. The staff waiters and waitresses are great ."

"I recently held a private birthday party at Chelo's East Providence. The staff and all there were so helpful and made an amazing job. Our servers were very friendly and went beyond and beyond. The food was great too. The event was so easy to plan. I managed everything by phone and email. The room looked great and offered a nice private location. I would recommend Chelo's to anyone who wants to plan a private event."

"Nice, cozy bistro in Wayland Square. I've been here multiple times with friends! I've only tasted their dinner menu once though, the other times were for snacks and drinks. The cacio e pepe starter was probably my favourite dish of the night, well seasonedand creamy!! The main dishes are quite generous in portions, but I didn't particularly enjoy my lamb as much as I thought Iwould. They have a beautifully wide selection of wonderful wines. I love their charcuterie board, it is perfect for sharing. Iam obsessed with halloumi so I also got that starter to share when I was visiting with my cohort. Service is great and theambiance is perfect for a wine night. One of my favourite places to grab a drink in Providence!"

"Great idea for a restaurant, but with a terrible execution. Basic Greek food lends itself well to a fast-service assembly line style (visit any Greek festival for proof), which is why it's such a shame that the Simple Greek is simply ghastly. <br br/>The gyro meat is allegedly fresh cut off the rotisseries displayed in the back, but my sandwich was full of cold meat with no crispness at all. The pita itself was cold and borderline stale as it started to crack in the middle. The vegetables in the gyro are way too big so that they fall out of the sandwich and the tzatziki sauce has zero flavor. I can and do make a better gyros at home, so I just don't get how a restaurant screws it up. <br br/>The hummus is probably some of the worst I've ever tasted in a restaurant. It has a clay-like consistency and an extremely unfresh flavor. They also give you an absurdly small amount of it as a side for the salad, which is probably a good thing all things considered. <br br/>The dolmades (grape leaves) were also cold making me wonder if they serve anything hot at all. The leaves were undercooked and the meat inside was flavorless. <br br/>I couldn't even bring myself to order the cold spanakopita (spinach pie) that sits in a plastic case next to the cash register like the cookies do at Subway sandwiches. <br br/>I can't and wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Greek food. I'm also very concerned that people who don't know any better might think that this is how Greek food tastes. It doesn't."
