"The food was great. We had three appetizers. We had cod puffs which tasted like cod cakes. We had scallops with blueberry sauce and baguette with butter. I had home made butternut squash ravioli and my friend had pork belly over rice. The restaurant is small and I would recommend making a reservation. They serve alcohol but you can also get a non- alcoholic cocktail if you wish. It’s not on the menu so just ask."

"My husband and I have been coming to Gander for a number of years, and we make a point of always stopping for breakfast at Mystic. Friendly servers, and tasty dishes have been the standard for a long time. We recently visited, and were surprised by the mediocre service we received. Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling, so we expected to wait a bit, no problem. Our server took us to a table, where we waited for our friends. Coffee first, delivered promptly. The couple who joined us however, had to wait a good 20 minutes before being asked if they'd like coffee/water, etc., and the server forgot the fresh milk we asked for. Our meal was good; we did wait a bit for it. Our jam for toast was brought out in our server's apron pockets, which I thought was a bit odd, and she doled them out one at a time onto the table. I do have to ask: why are the sugar cube tongs so large? Unwieldy to use."

"First time dining in Gander. Ordered the wing special and nachos. Wings were good, a little on small side. Nachos were good but cheese could have been melted more. Ranch dressing was gooey! Service was excellent. Young man, looks like a lumberjack, very friendly and kind."
