"I ate here together with my partner and parents in law. The restaurant is located outside Cochem tucked away on a side road of the road ascending the hill. It has two sections, a light one, the summer restaurant and a more rustic one which includes a standing clock striking the hours. There is a 3 course set menu for around 20 euro (which we didn't take) and the ala carte menu offers a variety of fish and meat dishes. There were no vegan main courses. I ordered the marinated scallops (16,50) as starter and the lacquered Argentinian Steak (28,-) as main. The scallops were excellent but the pasta they were on was extremely salty. Perhaps a mistake from the kitchen I thought. Then came the main course, again the beef was good quality but the lacquer was extremely salty again and the side dishes (beans, potatoes) as well. As a reference, if you are chewing a kidney bean after a short while the taste becomes sweet. In this case, I could only taste the salt. Then the wine. We ordered a dry 2010 Wehlener Sonneuhr (38,-) which is one of the best wine areas in the Mosel. While it was technically correct, the taste didn't came close to anything I've ever tasted from that area, mainly because of its high acidity. Drinkable but not nice at all.When confronted with our experience (my mother in law asked if the chef was in love :-) the waiter offered us a discount or a schnaps. Which was a nice gesture but didn't erase salt and sour taste. Recommendation: eat elsewhere."

"Unser liebstes Weinlokal!Feiner Wein und kleine Speisen – das ist eine absolut lohnenswerte Adresse, um sehr guten Wein sehr günstig(!) zu genießen. Und die fachkundige Beratung gibt's noch dazu. Hier werden im urigen, sehr gemütlichen Kellerambiente ein paar einfache Speisen gereicht. Es gibt eine kleine Speisekarte mit recht typischen, rustikalen Gerichten. Alles schmeckt sehr gut, und alle Platten (Winzerplatte, Käseplatte z.B.) sind reichlichst belegt. Hier wird man einfach rundum gut versorgt."

"My wife and I loved this restaurant as a change from the other eating establishments around Cochem. Our waitress was utterly charming and spoke perfect english, explaining that the restaurant has a set menu that the chef had chosen the particular evening we were there. We were not disappointed with the three courses presented to us, we were surprised (pleasantly) with the small free courses from the kitchen which delicious. Expect to pay a little more in this establishment 100+ euros for two but worth it."

"The restaurant was well visited. beautiful covered tables with fabric serviettes. good food. my man had fish and I escaped. everything has been well prepared. our sohnemann had his beloved spaghetti with a little surprise. all great. we were there in the summer and had eaten on the terrace. great. they can only recommend."

"Sooo cordial, tasty and familiar we were in small group of girls in cochem. a look at this caffe and a friendly word change and our reservation for the breakfast has been fixed. this caffe is led with so much love and cordiality. the very good coffee to a rich breakfast. Last but not least, she opened the caffe again for us spontaneously on Sunday, just a sugar-sweet place."
