"I was in Bidarray revisiting a holiday destination from many years back and looked up restaurants in the area on TA for lunch. Given that this restaurant was highly recommended and right in the middle off the village we decided to try it. We were a fairly large group with a young child and a baby which was no problem, as noted in an earlier comment there’s plenty of space. If you want a place on the terrace you’ll need to reserve it in advance as it’s fairly small though. The food was really good, gourmet style at a decent price. For starters we decided to share a couple plates of cured ham from which plentiful and tasty, more than enough as recommended by the waiter. Then I had a fish starter of “maigre de ligne” and calamari which was cooked to perfection with a nice sauce. Others went for meat and were equally satisfied. But apparently the desert really nailed it (I didn’t have any, it’s too full). We had a bottle St Emilion, a grand cru from 2010, which was promoted at very good price for that year and quality of wine. All in in all an excellent meal with good, unobtrusive service. Highly recommended."

"We went with friends who are here regularly while we stay close to their country house. In one sentence, our lunch could be directly from a movie script. The food, the location, the ambience (we were a big party of 12 in the barn) was the... perfectly rural French culinary experience you could imagine. The food is rustic and traditional, home-cooked food from the wonderful family who own, run and live on the grounds. Be warned, the portions are generous and make sure that you do not grind too early or you will pamper the later courses. If a beautiful rural location and healthy cooked and local food is your thing as an eggplant De Gallau won't disappoint. We can't wait to go back!"

"Home and Sympathic Service by Children!. Ravioli and Nems in oil. the oil is present in the plate. For dishes, industrial cuisine, genre sachet to warm, mediocre taste, no kitchen made on site, not even enriched with fresh herbs, zero seasoning. Example: Caramel linen, in reality, beautiful piece of fish but in a soup of so-called caramel sauce without seasoning, taste and color of Viandox. Boeuf Lok Lak copied but without any seasoning, not cooked. It was replaced by Porc Caramel, cooked in 1 minute, or rather warmed, always without flavor. Where's the Asian Flavor? Disappointed to the point that we did not take dessert. Ah, for Rosé wine, no Pichet, bottle of 37 cl on map, but is not available, only of 75 cl. I'm sorry, but I'd like to give you advice to those who love industrial cuisine, a restaurant to attend when you're eating dishes that are heated in bags."
