"This is a great food store! You have so many things that are hard to find in other shops, especially in Albuquerque. They have SO MANY types of fake meat, both in a huge breast freezer compartment and in one of the dried merchandise. In the frozen section I bought some fake shrimps, fake crushed shrimps and bean sausages. Make sure to check also the dried fake meats that are cheaper. I bought dried soybean carvings in slices and the more classic mini-meat balls. I do not see very often soy shocks in the USA, but they are really easy to cook and simply add to curries, stews, roasts and marinades. 999 has a wide range of noodles, spicy sauces, asian products, teas, as well as harder to find things like tapioca starch, chickpea flour, arrowwort, agar agar, miso, kimchi and other specialties vegan recipes sometimes use. I was happy to find buckwheat noodles, glutinous rice flour for DIY mochi, and tapioca balls for DIY bubble tea. For me this is a *must visit* for vegans who like to cook and bake and for anyone who wants to experiment with fake meat. They sell fish, so it is not for everyone, but the vegan-friendly products they offer make it absolutely worth it for me. The fish counter is at the back so you don't have to go past it if you don't want to. When I visited, the fake meat freezer was in one of the chests that were closest to the back of the dry goods aisles. The staff can help you find everything you are looking for."

"My wife and I have been in the food industry for 9+ years and I have to say we were beyond disappointed. First night we attempted to come they had taped paper to the doors an hour prior to closing that said ?no more seating?. Therefore we left. Tried again the next night and were delighted to see no paper signs on the door, but upon entry they told us that they were only doing to go because, and I quote, ?it?s been so slow that none of the servers want to take tables?. So we ordered $200 of food, not even plus tip to sit and eat outside the front door. I, more than anyone, understand being slow, but change your hours of op. Beyond disappointed. Will not ever recommend. Shout out to Salem though, she was kind and helpful! Only good part about the place"

"This review is from my daughter's perspective as I was unable to eat due to the spiciness (allergic to certain spices)of our seafood boil.She loved it! Customer service was great, and our server did try to give additional suggestions.The sad thing is we left about $40 worth of leftovers due to my daughter not being able to finish much of our boil. I tried to call several...several... times but the number listed in Google gave us a busy signal the whole time. Next time I go in I'll be sure to ask for samples of the spiciness : )You all have amazing customer service!"
