"I stayed with friends nearby and they said they would take me to a VERY good French restaurant. I was amazed to find this little restaurant in a small village and full with 20 people on a Saturday evening. We arrived at 7.15 and left at 10.15 - I love the leisurely pace French restaurants work. It's a husband and wife team with Alain doing the cooking and Christine serving all 20 guests with just a little help from another lady to tidy the plates etc. I had snails cooked in tripe (I prefer them in garlic I decided!), sea bass (not so much flavour), hot Camembert, and then pears in brandy ( the best part I decided!). My friends had chicken and sea snails for main course (tried one - a bit chewy!) My friends chose the wine and the bill came to €145 for the 3 of us. Maybe the food was a bit too "French" for me to give it an excellent score. The Gouraud's obviously take a great pride in what they do."

"We had a nice lunch break on our way back from holiday. We arrived late so ended up the last in the restaurant. Didn't feel unwelcome or rushed. Friendly staff, no problem changing some ingredients. Both our pizza and pasta were very tastefull."
