"Was hesitant to try takeout from this restaurant because of the reviews, but I am so glad I stopped in! Christa took my takeout order and she was so pleasant. She greeted me with a smile and was happy to have a causal conversation while I waited for my order. The food arrived hot and fresh and smelled delicious. I was surprised to see good-sized portions for the price, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. The chicken shawarma was spiced just right and the fattoush salad was fresh. Lately it seems like everyone is on their last nerve and it was refreshing to stop in to a place with happy staff, good service and delicious food for a good price. Hats off to the owner Sam for running a great establishment—I’ve been back 3 times in the past 2 weeks!"

"Best crab cake I've ever had. Lambchops were okay. A little more on the gamey side, and lacked in flavor. Even after asking for the truffle butter, as an add on. I was looking forward to that wagyu steak i had from here before, but they took it off of the menu. Atmosphere is romantic and I guess they have a theme I guess and not really sure what it is. The dead animals give it lodging vibes, and makes me want to dust. However, our server Kevin was amazing! Thank you for the suggestion on the butter cake. It was so tasty!"

"Well, our experience reminded us of why we haven 't come back in a while. We used to come here all the time, even during the height of the pandemic. But we went from regulars to not returning. But it 's been a while and we missed our days of coming here so we thought we would try again. We came in and ordered drinks, our soups, salads and entrees. First off the server questioned some choices that we were ordering. And when we asked for a simple salad dressing she made a face like she didn 't like that. Time went on. We got our drinks and sat for 25 minutes. We noticed other people getting their soups and salad before us who came in after us. More time went on. Not even a stop by the server to check in or say the food is coming. I actually went to the bar to get change for a 20 so we could leave cash for the drinks and just leave. But by the time I returned our food arrived so we decided to let it go. Our server kept saying she is new and we are sympathetic to that. Now like I said, we used to be regulars, so we knew the fish dinners used to come with vegetables or fries or rice...some kind of side. The fish dinners just came with the filet and that 's it. Nothing else. But then again it took forever for her to come around again. When she did, we asked and she said she would get the manager. We never wanted to come off angry or upset, we nicely were just asking. We even complimented that the fish was really good and we enjoyed it, but wondered about why nothing came with it. The manager seemed very cold. He admitted it should come with a side and he would take eight dollars off the bill. But the way he said it came off very there 's nothing else we will do for you. . And we were not even asking for a free meal. We just wanted our meal to be what we pay for. But whatever. Then when the bill came we realized he took off eight dollars but made it up in different ways. For one the salmon on the menu said $22 but charged us $25. Then on the chicken Parm, the menu said $17 but we were charged $20. And I automatically knew when I ordered the chicken Parm, she said a soup came with it, and offered french onion or tomato basil, I ordered the french onion. So I knew they upcharged because I ordered french onion. The point is the server said the soups came with it and didn 't mention it would cost more. We knew we could say something but what was the point when we know the manager would just blow it off. So unfortunately we took it out of the tip. I almost still have 2 stars on here because the food is actually good, but the more I think about it...the terrible service and management upends the food. It 's sad because the food is good but we probably won 't be back Another note:on the nights with love music is it a very loud area and tough to carry a conversation. We don 't mind live music if it is handled right but in this place it is loud, and makes people talk loud. Even when the band goes on break, then they blast radio music. I understand some people don 't mind it, but isn 't great if you want a quiet conversation. This is not a knock against the band, the music talent was good just loud environment."
