"I'm from Alberta, so I don't eat seafood often and when I do it isn't very pleasant. I visited Vancouver recently and my girlfriend (who is originally from BC) took me to her favourite Sushi restaurant. As we approached it, it seemed tiny, hidden/tucked away....The service was very quick which was nice (because when I'm hungry, I like to eat as soon as I'm hungry). After looking through the menu I decided on a combo platter. Might as well try a little bit of everything! My gf got her favourite dish, the pink lady roll. It didn't take long to be served (maybe minutes max) and at first bite I was in love. I had a bite of the pink lady roll as well and THAT was amazing. We ended up going back the next day because I wanted more. The spicy roll sauce is the perfect amount of spicy and savoury. In Alberta, seafood is expensive, because it's flown in and frozen/ not very good times (unless you want to fork out some serious cash, which I'm not willing to do). The prices were so cheap and you get a lot. I couldn't finish mine because there was so much, and it was under Very, very satisfied! I will be returning!! PS in the photo there should be or more pieces of sushi, but I ate them before taking the picture!"

"I had the sushi pizza and salmon teriyaki prawns with my friend and they were both incredible! The food here is very creative and tasty. You can tell from their food that they use high quality ingredients and special sauces that are highly addictive. My friend and I have now found our go to sushi place in Vancouver!"

"We asked the Four Seasons to recommend great such with no frills. As usual, they did a great job. This place has fabulous sushi and NO frills at all. Every single piece of sushi is fresh, fresh, fresh.I'm in town for a month and I've been there for lunch so many times that the order taker asked me if I live here.The only thing they could improve on is the containers for soy and wasabi. They're too small and it make mixing them difficult."

"The staff here are courageous, heroic human beings, especially the hostess with the ponytail and red lipstick. I was visiting Vancouver on business and learned very quickly that it is an overrated and unsafe area full of aggressive homeless people. I was walking downtown trying to find a good spot for lunch and I ended up getting followed by a drug addict for the 29th time that day. I was fearing for my safety and walked into the first place I saw, which just so happened to be here. He followed me into this restaurant, caused a scene and started yelling incoherent things at me. The fearless warriors at this restaurant did not call the cops or 911, or tell the man to get out of their restaurant where there were people clearly uncomfortable with the whole scene, but what they DID do was the AMAZING act of giving me a place to sit to regain my bearings after such a traumatic scene! What thoughtful, caring heroes! I think Mother Theresa works at this restaurant with how protective they are of the people who enter their establishment! And it gets even better they never ONCE offered me a drink of water or food, or asked me if I was okay. But they are heroes because they did the bare minimum and gave me a place to sit! SOMEONE GIVE THESE PEOPLE THE PURPLE HEART!"
