"For starters their bread rolls were pretty fluffy, warm, and amazing. I got the medium cut of prime rib and was melt in my mouth delicious! It was a premium piece of meat and so delicious. The mashed potatoes were good but not amazing, they lack a unique seasoning or touch to set them apart. The sauteed mushrooms were good but could of been cooked a little longer for a softer texture and more flavour for my palate. The cheese cake was great, no complaints. I felt I got a very good dinner for the price. Dim relaxed atmosphere perfect for romantic dates. Friendly and professional staff!"

"This place has the best alcoholic shakes I have EVER had. Caramel Apple is my favorite. Of course, Point Brewery is one of the best out there, so everything on tap is great. Burgers can be a little expensive for what they are, but they're always delicious. Not to mention, the attached arcade makes this place perfect for date night Love to hit this place during happy hour for $3 taps."

"Our boys came home for spring break from college for a few days and requested Village Tavern for Sunday Brunch before heading back. They enjoyed their prime rib 12 oz, looked wonderful. Hubby and I not so much- we had corn beef and hash and spinach and Mushroom omelette. The potatoes got sent back as they were cold and the new ones weren’t that hot but had to eat. They lacked seasoning and the onions were too cooked down, almost burnt tasting. Hubby told me later his wasn’t like the week prior as we ate their the Sunday prior. He had the same thoughts about the potatoes and for his dish the potatoes were the star of the dish, they also overcooked 1 of the two eggs so not over easy. So overall I think the chef/kitchen was off Sunday. Waiter was great!"

"The food was very tasty. I recommend the Parmigiano veal. Our server was personable and helpful with the menu. Since it was NYE, I was nervous about the seats available, but my wife and I were in a cabin that was comfortable enough for two other guests. The prices were very reasonable, but the food didn't suffer. All around a great experience and a great, unpretentious neighborhood restaurant."

"We went on Saturday, 21. July 2012 to San rocco. The staff was fabulous, we were a group of 21 and received a great service, which we highly recommend the restaurant especially the lobster thermidor."

"Met up with a group of friends for a ladies brunch. The service was dedicated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Waitress offered alternates when informed of dietary needs. The flow of activity varied. We stayed a good while, and never felt rushed or ushered out. The mojitos were yummy!! I personally tasted the Apricot, and the Coconut mojito. Food was very tasty. All in all a positive experience. I hope to return soon.....maybe with the girls too."

"Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. We will come back 10 out of 10 experiences! ????????"
