"Wir waren gestern zum Osteressen mit drei Erwachsenen dort, meine Mutter bestellte Fisch mit Blumenkohl (war okay, aber nicht überragend) und Kartoffelpüree, mein Mann und ich hatten Ragout vom Eifel-Hirsch mit Brokkoli und Spätzle. Das Hirschfleisch war sehr zäh, sodass ich etwa 2/3 liegen ließ, mein Mann aß auf, aber nur, weil der Hunger groß genug war. Der Brokkoli verkocht....Bei der obligatorischen Frage, ob es denn geschmeckt habe, sagte ich dem Kellner, das Fleisch sei zäh gewesen, seine Reaktion war sparsam, er wolle es weitergeben. Bei einer Rechnung von 130 Euro, die lediglich sechs Kölsch und eine Flasche Mineralwasser enthielten, wäre ein Espresso aufs Haus eigentlich das Mindeste gewesen. Der Inhaber kam nach dem Essen ebenfalls auf uns zu, auch ihm sagte ich, dass das Fleisch zäh war. Antwort "Das werde ich gleich mal probieren, ich habe mir den Hirsch auch gerade bestellt" Nun, für uns war der erste Eindruck damit auch der letzte, wir werden nicht wiederkommen. Wir gehen gerne und oft gut essen, aber hier stimmt Preis/Leistung nicht, da isst man in jedem Kölner Brauhaus besser."

"My words cannot describe the deliciousness of today's evening meal at Wippn'bk Südstadt. The restaurant has a pleasant stylish yet comfy vibe, and the service was very good. The presentation of the food was perfect, and every little bit, from the crueltyfreeraised German goose to...the gingerbread stuffing to the winesoaked chestnuts and other sides, tasted perfect. In hindsight, just now, in a nitpicking mindset, I realise that actually the meal was not the temperature that I usually like my food at I eat piping hot and I didn't even consciously notice, even though I'm quite picky about it. The meal was just THAT good. Today's meal was from the special goose menu, so I can't speak for the level of quality of the à la carte food it certainly looked good on the plates of my fellow diners. The starter goose broth and desserts chocolate variations, spekulatius parfait, panna cotta we tried were just that, very good, rather than insanely outstanding. I would highly recommend the goose menu it's expensive, but definitely worth it. Beware that when you get the whole goose, the portion sizes are enormous but they will doggybag without prompt whatever you didn't manage to finish"

Some of the foods that have their own as average, but not with the experience you are looking for. the personal is not trained; has. no knowledge of any wee, eat or alcohol. the restaurant feels empty. odd open buffet with old dips at the entrance. they do not even have bottles of alcohol back."
