"I have been to restaurants in many parts of the world and in Canada but never go in search good service and food. The waitress finished finished the evening by serving us coffee without spoons and never has this happened in my 25 years working in the tourism industry. Usually when mussels are served the first thing is that bread and butter has to be on the table but until we requested nothing was given. Tasteless food. Looked like the waitress was impressed by the big tip any way. I guess people pay for the view and not foe the food or service. Need to add that the bottle of wine tasted like vinegar."

"Placed an order for 2 pizza's and a salad- a bit pricy but always want to support local small business. Was told 25 mins. Arrived after 25 mins and was told it would be 5 mins- paid by credit card and stepped out and came back a few minutes later. I was told it was still going to be 10-15. Restaurant had no more than 6-7 customers. I decided to sit at the bar and wait and was completely ignored by staff- after another 25 mins I asked about the status from the manager and overheard the cook say that he hadn't started the order. The manager then walked off with no apology, no explanation. There also was no attempt to provide customer service ( ie- we will rush the order, would you care for a drink.. Nothing!)I then cancelled my order and said I would go somewhere else- NO customer service was again provided ( ie so sorry, we are short staffed, our ovens broken, we are catering a huge group of invisible people..nothing!) Even though I paid with credit, The cook said that he had to give cash and he then pulled $60 out of his pocket and gave it to the manager (which is a whole other issue, handling money while cooking, but what do I know..) who then proceeded to attempt to get change from other staff in the restaurant... He even had the gall to not give me the exact amount (they technically still owe me .34). I was so appalled that I just walked out. Waits and mix ups happen- that's not what made it appalling- it was the wait with no customer service that will ensure that I never go back to this place. Very disappointing!"

"Our waitress, Rhonda, was wonderful . Very friendly and anticipated our needs. Came to check on us but did not intrude. The food was tasty, setting was stunning, but we found it a bit pricey. Lovely evening just cost us more than we thought it would."

"My husband and I enjoyed our Sunday brunch here very much! Our waitress has done a fabulous job that explains the history of the building and of course the menu. We ordered the Belgian waffles and the Sunday quiche. We also have mimosas. In any case, you can enjoy a meal here if you are in South Bend and take a ride on the elevator to the oldest elevator in Indiana and the 2nd oldest in the USA!"
