"My friends and I just had the most amazing dinner here celebrating a couple of birthdays. We had a slight mix up with the order, but our server, Olivia, was extremely generous and made us feel so welcomed! As well, the manager, Ashley, personally came around to make sure we were well taken care of. On top of the wonderful service, the food was amazing, very excited to eat my leftovers. If we lived in Chicago we would definitely come back regularly!Dietary restrictions: very accommodating with the chicken entrée not coming fried, instead grilled."

"Wonderful pizza and salad. Wonderful business owners. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. We 've been there or ordered in many, many times. Each pizza has been a flavor sensation. We especially love the contrast of temperature and texture between the hot-from-the-oven pizza and the dollops of cold ricotta that adorn several of their combinations! (Try it, you will like it. I don 't even generally like or eat pepperoni, but I have regular cravings for their pepperoni with whipped ricotta. I think this is because the quality of the ingredients is top-notch IMO. When out of town guests visit, they too are invariably wowed by Coalfire, even if they thought they wanted deep dish. The staff and, I gather, the owner or manager, have never failed to treat us with anything but respect and kindness, no matter how busy they are. Deliveries have always been quick and excellently executed--I think this is because they care enough to do their own deliveries. Bravo! They deserve every success. It is a pleasure to be a customer at this restaurant."

"Great family style restaurant. Tables were a bit close but manageable. All the usual suspects in the menu of American-Italian favorites. Good service. Food was uneven. Large portions meant for sharing. I would describe the food as comfort food. Special risotto was way too salty. When we informed the waiter, the manager came over and immediately took it off the bill which was greatly appreciated since it was not edible. Really enjoyed the eggplant stack and mussels appetizer. Attentive service."
