"Just returned home from our second stay at the Greyhound this year. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfy with good quality cotton bedding. We ate with friends in the restaurant and we were all delighted with how delicious the food was. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended."

"We popped in here off peak season. The fire was on making it quite cost. We had 4 dogs with us too and the lady behind the bar was really nice about them being there (two puppies are getting used to going out). The food was lovely. Sandwiches were deep filled, lasagne and chips were spot on. Big portions too. It had a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend."
In beautiful weather you can even eat in the outdoor area.

"My wife and me,my cousin and hubby,brother and wife plus family friend stopped here overnight 2nd Sept, 3 doubles plus a twin room. Grade 2 listed building so don't expect the Ritz etc. Some parts and furnishings need sorting, especially a good clean of every carpet, we all agreed the little things spoiled the finished article, like white paint spashes on black floors, but nothing to put you off,very clean rooms dining and general areas inc, toilets, Beds are soft as are pillows, Parking could be tricky, but re-move if need be later on, Food is on an upmarket menu and definitely cooked to order,as is breakfast. Very good indeed, Check menu on their Web as it might not suit all staying. Very hospitable staff. Price wise £115 per room Inc breakfast plus £20 per night doggie charge as extra. Have no complaints at all stopping here, ideal for Chatsworth house as we had been to the the country show there for 2 days. Total bill £430.00 for 4 rooms b&b, plus 7 meals and bar bill £220.00 Well worth a try,"

"Very disappointed when shown to our table a sign on it read reserved at 10.30 sorry for any inconvenience caused not the best welcome being made to feel like an inconvenience. Very poor service told unlimited tea and coffee was included. In the hour and a half we were there for our sparkling breakfast not once were we asked if everything was OK nor were we offered further drinks we had to ask for them and then wait a further 15 minutes to get 2 cups of tea. Prosecco was given to us in unopened bottles no offer to open it for us. Cheap supermarket bread was used breakfast nothing special, very dry and bland. Frustrated by being ignored even had to ask for a napkin none on the table and only one brought out not even one each. we were not even asked when leaving if everything had been alright or if we d enjoyed it they probably realised their service was poor. This was a birthday gift which I was looking forward to but have been left feeling upset and disgruntled. Would definitely not recommend going here"
