"I went in a party of three and we all ordered turbot, because neither of us is a massive carnivore (and none of us wanted to eat a brain). the menu was small and the main thing was expensive. the fish was beautifully coked, but not sure whether it was the price as they need to order side to be satisfied, and this will be the price up to about £40. the side were good and bigger compared to the side that they would get in other restaurants; they were also well cooked. the dessert had snipsel of rhubarb and was more flan than brulee; I'd rather be lavish by rhubarb with a good, questionable ecstard. the eating was excellent, though expensive for what they were given, but I would still be this restaurant five stars because of the beautiful outdoor and good service, without which I would probably rate orwell's four stars."

"2 years on from my first review, still one of our favourite local pubs. Lovely lunch today, Walnut, blue cheese and endive salad, spaghetti with cavolo nero pesto, cod with greens and mash. 2020 Super tasty Bambi burger slow cooked lamb served by cheerful, friendly staff. All wrapped up in a cosy pub with open fires great beer."
